Chinese Church Voices—On Pause . . .

Chinese Church Voices is an occasional column of the ChinaSource Blog providing translations of original writing by Christians in China. The views represented are entirely those of the original author; inclusion in Chinese Church Voices does not imply or equal an endorsement by ChinaSource.

Chinese Church Voices (CCV) made its first appearance in 2012 with a look at a Baidu map of where churches were located in China at that time. Since then, at a rate of one post a week, we have “listened in on the conversation” over 450 times, seeking out a variety of content that is broadly representative of what Chinese Christians in mainland China are talking about online.

That the landscape where mainland Christians live out their faith has changed since that time is obvious even to the casual observer. And it is increasingly important that we hear from them, in their own words, as much as possible.

To continue helping those outside of China hear from our brothers and sisters in the mainland we are going to pause CCV briefly to implement changes in our processes. We hope these changes will enable us to listen more clearly and more broadly to the voices of mainland Chinese Christians.

Looking forward to listening again, together, to the voices of the church in China,
