The Precious Cross

Chinese Church Voices is an occasional column of the ChinaSource Blog providing translations of original writing by Christians in China. The views represented are entirely those of the original author; inclusion in Chinese Church Voices does not imply or equal an endorsement by ChinaSource.

Over the past decade Stream of Praise, a music ministry based in the United States, has had a tremendous influence on church music in China, particularly in the urban house churches and youth services in the Three-Self churches.

Since they were founded in 1993, they have published more than 600 songs and released more than 50 albums. In addition, they have traveled all over the Mandarin-speaking world leading worship in Mandarin.

If you find yourself worshiping at a church in China, chances are you may sing this song, titled “The Precious Cross.” Enjoy this beautiful rendition
