Chinese Christian Voices in The Chinese Bible: Perspectives and Reflections

The Bible is the foundational document of the Christian faith, containing the story of salvation and God’s love for his people. Though it contains eternal truths applicable to all people in all places, it was written in a specific time and place, in Hebrew and Greek. Translations of the Bible have followed the believers who carried out the Great Commission. These projects not only translate the words of Scripture, but they also must contextualize the culture of the Bible in the new culture. China is no different. In this series, we are blessed to have reflections on the place of the Bible from several different perspectives. From thoughts on the Chinese Union Version (CUV) and its place in the Chinese church, to reflections on new translations, to personal reminiscences of coming to love the Bible, this series will give readers lots to consider.
