Monica Romano, a sinologist and social scientist, holds a doctoral degree in Ethnology and Ethno-Anthropology and is currently a lecturer at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. Her research interests include Christianity and the Catholic Church in China, particularly Chinese Bible translation which she has been investigating for nearly 20 years, presenting the findings in various conferences and studies. She has visited China several times to conduct research and field work.
