傅邦宁 今天的中国,急剧锐变。其中,三个因素深深地影响福音事工在中国扮演的角色。 首先,中国政府对外国的非牟利机构,愈来愈不信任,令部份机构被迫缩减运作规模或放弃部分工作的地区。虽然大部分非牟利机构及支持它们的人,都是怀着善意,但是中国领袖却视它们为政治竞争的威胁。 此外,由于中国缺乏慈善事业的传统,所以中国政府往往会随即认定这些非牟利机构(特别是那些获得境外资助的机构)藏有政治动机,并否定它们纯粹营商的目的。 同时,全球的经济危机严重地影响外国非牟利机构的传统集资渠道,迫使它们重新考虑工作的优先次序和关注工作的可持续性问题。 从正面角度分析,正在中国萌芽发展的商业为充满创意、以信仰为基础的福音事工创造了崭新的空间,为个人生命和整个小区,带来长足的改变。或许,参与慈善事业的传统之门已被关闭,不过,在这个空间内的门,却是不断开启。这不是说,刻下面对挑战的非牟利机构的领袖,需要立刻卸除非牟利机构的帽子,并换上商业机构的身份。事实上,若要以此身份成功地事奉,首要的条件是,拥有热心传扬福音的心志。 基于以上提及的三项因素,数十位非牟利机构的领袖、企业家及研究人员,在2010年5月齐集香港,讨论中国社会企业发展,在促进福音事工方面所带来的机遇。这个由华源协作及香港浸会大学华人企业案例研究中心联合举办的研讨会,内容包括:讨论社会企业的本质及其目的、非牟利机构在中国发展的法律环境、在中国的商业活动、以及整体商业在改变社区所扮演的角色。研讨会的详请,请浏览华源协作网 (www.chinasource.org)。 傅邦宁为华源协作的总裁及华源协作季刊的编辑。 跟随傅邦宁的微博@BrentSFulton
