Lu Chen (pseudonym), born and reared in Beijing, has a master’s degree in chemistry from The City University of New York and a master’s degree in Operations Research from Columbia University. She taught ESL and is currently studying in a TESOL master level program. She mentors a Chinese international high school student in the U.S.
