If you happen to find yourself in Beijing this Christmas, be sure to stop by the Haidian Christian Church to see the Christmas Tree in the square in front of the church. This is a report from Gospel Times about the lighting of the tree.

Christians Celebrate with Christmas Tree Lighting in Haidian Church, Beijing

On December 4, as carols were being sung and a countdown reached zero, the Christmas tree in front of the Haidian Church in Beijing was lit. The tree-lighting ceremony took place in Haidian Square, in front of the church. Members and staff of Haidian Christian Church participated in the ceremony, which included carols and worship songs. It was a festive atmosphere.

This event takes place every year on the first Sunday night in December. The tree brightens the night in Haidian District, the second largest in urban Beijing.
