2 New Christian Books

Last month, on a trip to China, I did something I always do when I get there—I tried to find out what new Christian resources are available within China. Much to my surprise, or perhaps lack of faith, I discovered the following two translated Christian books that are now available:

Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God, by Henry and Richard Blackaby. It has a Chinese ISBN, which means that it is available on the market (in stores and online). The book is available for purchase in China on the ZDL Books Taobao store.

Another book that became available in China this year is Christ-centered Preaching, by Bryan Chapell. Since the book is published by the China Christian Council for internal distribution, and thus does not have an ISBN, it is not available in stores or online. It can only be sold at Three-self church bookstores.

If you’re in Shanghai, you can purchase it from the Three-self bookstore on Jiujiang Road. If you’re not in Shanghai, check the bookstore at your local Three-self church to see if they carry it. And if you’re not in China, feel free to let people you know in China know about these resources.

Amid all the negative news coming out of China these days, it’s nice to know that Christian resources are still being legally produced (even if at reduced numbers) and available. Pray that God will use these two books to strengthen his church.
