Missio Nexus China Ministries Cohort

Are you familiar with Missio Nexus? If you are involved in Great Commission work, you should be.

Missio Nexus is an organization that “engages people who serve within the Great Commission with ideas, events, and resources which propel the gospel around the world.” They do this by providing online resources, convening conferences, and project collaboration.

Some of their resources are publicly available, but most are available through a membership program. More than just providing information, Missio Nexus membership provides “direct connection to information and relationships with others in the Great Commission community through shared learning, collaborative action and increased effectiveness in global mission.” Memberships are available on an individual or organizational basis.

One of those benefits is the Cohort platform, a private social network that allows members with shared interests, roles, concerns to connect and collaborate with one another to share ideas and best practices or just engage one another in discussion of relevant issues.

To that end, ChinaSource is launching a China ministries cohort this week. We want it to be a place where those serving in China-related ministries can gather to discuss issues relevant to our work.

Brent will be hosting on perceived needs within the China ministry community and talking about available resources for those serving in China. Future topics we have lined up include urban church ministry, serving among Muslims in China, family relationships, and language learning.

If you (as an individual or organization) are member of Missio Nexus, we invite you to join this cohort. If you’re not yet a member, we highly recommend it. Update: You do not need to be a member of Missio-Nexus to participate in the China Ministries Cohort. Write to Hannah Lau at hlau@chinasource.org and she will have you added to the cohort.

We are excited about this new initiative, and would love to have you join us!
