Overseas NGO Law—We Can Help

To register or not to register? That (and many others) is the question.

Since the implementation of the new Overseas NGO Law on January 1, overseas organizations that work in/with/for China have been in varying degrees of panic. Maybe this is you, and you’ve found yourself overwhelmed with trying to interpret the new law as it applies to your specific situation, let alone embarking on the steps necessary to become legitimized.

We’re here to help!

The team at ChinaSource is committed to staying as apprised as possible on the implementation of this law as it rolls out across the nation and sharing these updates with the China-ministry community in a timely manner. Hopefully you’ve seen the various blog posts that we’ve released on this topic. However, we know that at the end of the day, each organization’s situation is different and that’s where we hope to help through consulting services.

ChinaSource NGO Consulting Offering

Our consulting services offer a variety of ways for organizations to receive the help that they need. In light of the new Overseas NGO Law, we offer the following:

  • Quarterly Briefing (4 times a year beginning in March)—A document that includes major developments from the past quarter, interpretation and implications of new findings, case studies, resources, and answers to frequently asked questions.
  • Mini-Consultation—A one hour phone call with a consultant from the ChinaSource team who will give an overview of the latest findings, implications, and present options for your organization that will help guide towards next steps.
  • Full-Consultation—A half-day face-to-face meeting with a consultant from the ChinaSource team who will take a more in-depth look at your organization’s situation, help the team understand the relevant areas of the new law and its implications, and draft an action plan for next steps.
